tips for a succesfull facebook art page
May 20th, 2012
You can make a page from a regular personal facebook–instead of “friends” people “like” your page. Bands/musicians, artists, writers, celebs, will usually have those kinds of pages (also, with a personal page you can only have 5000 friends, but with a business or art type page unlimited amount of people can like it) Those pages can be set up so that anyone can view them without being logged in to facebook. And typically the only content that one would put on it is art related. Mind you, if you read my other post I don’t think this is the best option, but it is different from your standard personal fb page.
You should make own site, it sound harsher than the same message spoken, I mean this in a friendly, helpful way: Posting on Artsy or Deviant Art is great but you really need your own site as well. Many of the free sites like Deviant and Artsy make people sign up to view or restricts adult content. Which happened to me on your link. I don’t want to go through the sign-in dealie. If you are serious about getting input make it easier. WordPress is free. An html or CSS site is so cheap now – and so automated – there is no excuse not to have one. You’ll spend more money away at a convenience store this month than a years hosting cost. To put it bluntly, if you won’t invest in your Art why should I?
One worst thing about facebook wallpapers page it’s that you have to join to view content. I refuse to join, so there is a lot of content I don’t get to see. Also, people tend to “overshare” information on facebook. Do you really want people who are coming to buy art to find out who you just broke up with or how late you partied last night? On the rare occasions I have toyed with facebook, I felt like I needed a shower at the very least… perhaps something stronger from a physician.source:http://hdwallpapers2012.com
